Microcel® – Microcrystalline Cellulose

MICROCEL® comes from cellulose, a substance naturally present in plants, fruits and vegetables, obtained via an acid hydrolysis process under controlled conditions.

During the process, the cellulose amorphous part is hydrolyzed while the crystalline part remains the same, this being the first stage of manufacturing microcrystalline cellulose.

The product is considered an insoluble fiber and highly compressible, with several applications and functions in the food industry.
